Needs Assessment
From a simple, simplex single channel system to a complex, multi-site multiple channel multi-band system MWF understands the need to investigate and study wireless communications networks. In many, if not all, cases the needs assessment process is the first of many steps in the analysis and mapping of a radio communications system that will allow a system owner to make decisions as it pertains to the current and future direct of their system. The needs assessment can include the analysis of the overall physical condition of all radio system components including the base station/repeater system, mobile radio, radio installations, portable radios, radio accessories, and the dispatch center. This evaluation of overall physical condition shall include: basic condition of the equipment, comparison to good engineering practices for installation, grounding, lightning protection, and antenna placement.

MWF provides our customers with a written report of the items evaluated in the needs assessment and makes suggestions for the improvements to the system. MWF's report may include: findings and observations with a presentation of viable technical solutions along with estimated costs and implementation strategies. This report will become an excellent guide for the client to establish and implement a plan for short and long term system improvement and/or replacement.
